Should you customize your Apple?

If I wanted to up the RAM on a computer from Apple.com … They make it easily available, but once you do then it’s considered to be CUSTOMIZED and therefore not returnable !

That’s pretty silly … IMHO

I understand the logic (requires a “hands on” aspect), but then maybe they should offer a wider range of variations (RAM is my major gripe) that makes it not be considered as a customization.

My Advice

If you are buying a computer and not 100% sure (example a GIFT) … DO NOT customize on the web … RAM for instance doesn’t cost any less, when you customize, so you could just buy it separate.

Thoughts?
