nuff-respec version 1
28 April 2005

nuff-respec.com (april 28 reboot ;)...

I could never be a designer, seems like designing is a never ending story. So welcome to version two of my website.

Well here is version 2 of my website.

I am no designer, but desiging intrigues me. It’s such a subjective thing, and you can never let go. So a way for me to let go was to stop all the fiddling around and just call it quits and upload.

It’s not completed yet, but launching it is one way that will get me to do the work. Sidebar may need a little more work, and maybe some color from this color blind person. Imagery needs some work, these are the only images I have on this computer, and won’t have access to my desktop for sometime. or until I start using sony dsc-p200 camera a little more.

Page weight has also been reduced by approx. 1/2 and the same with css and js files.

I have gone away from the Javascript fading images, and moved towards random images served up via php.

Another big change for me was using pixels for font size. I really wrestled with this, but you know what this is a personal blog, and IE really really doesn’t have this right. Ofcourse there are going to be some people, who would want to resize fonts, and are using IE shrug ... working on a style switcher …

I still have parts of the old site I like. The javascript fade was pretty cool, but was unfair to have users with slower connections download all those image. Creating icons was also a lesson that took some great frustrations, but they turned out ok.

I have archived old homepage here.

Do you like?

what they saidwho said it
As you already noticed info in the side bar kinda lost due to the contrast. Maybe you can change the colour of the text. 2005-04-28

Ok. You switched on me? I like this one a lot better. As a matter of fact, I think I want this design for my bashment basses web site. I’ll try to erase your name when I snag your code. Better yet I’ll say you designed it.

That’s what friends are forrrrrrrr!

Funny enough, Chenee and Lascine say you can’t touch me here for the next 2 yrs until they pass ledgislature to allow the police to act on the anti-theft ledgislature they enacted 2 yrs ago. Anyway, I don’t even know how to snag the damn thing. Why don’t you just be a pal and send it to me huh!? Pretty please!! 2005-05-01

C’mon you must want to come visit here for a nice ski trip … I can have them nab you then. So you getting advice from the big time lawyers .. they can’t be any good, after all they are Campion grads ;)!

Not sure how blogger works, can you customize it ??

DannyB
I’m with blog spot. They have templates that you can customize. They allow you to host their templates on yourown site in which case you can customize to your hearts content.

A friend of mine hosts her own from someone else and password protects each post individually and comments as well.

Other ppl use other services and say that they get a better deal because they have more control over it.

I am using textpattern and hosting on dreamhost, both which I am very happy with. I have total control, and real intense control requires some technical chops but both of them have great knowledge base/forums.

I can host your templates if you want…

Flickr is amazing .. and of all the photo sharing stuff out there it’s the most advanced. I have a funny feeling the free part might dissappear soon though …

BTW… you are insane taking pic at 120+ mph … what were you thinking ?

Hawt design. I agree with you on the design issue. It never ends. I ended up simply using someone else’s, I didn’t have the time or perclivity to continue re-designing. It was driving me insane.

But cudos to you on this design, I think it looks awesome!!

Thanks 1beb… it still is driving me insane, i am not completely happy with the how the section header and links, or sidebars are displayed, but que sera sera ..

Hopefully you got their permission … people find their designs personal, and would got get pretty upset.

Pirated Sites!! Aaarrgghh... is a good example of how people feel.

Yes, of course! I certainly chose something that I liked that was in the free domain. I hacked it alot, but it’s still all there.
